The Biggest Marijuana Seizure in Country's History

The Drug Enforcement Agency removed more than 41,000 marijuana plants from a 40-acre area near Warner Springs in northeastern San Diego County.
It took both Sunday july 1st and Monday July 2
nd to haul out the largest marijuana seizure on private property in the country's history.
The removal required 35 DEA agents and officers from the multi-agency Narcotics Task Force. Also found on the property were two large water tanks, chemicals for fertilizer, and a 30-round magazine for a semiautomatic weapon.
The marijuana was estimated to have a wholesale value of $41 million.
No one was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
Selling, distributing, and/or manufacturing controlled substances is illegal and is prosecuted in the state of California. Marijuana is a controlled substance and possession thereof in any amount is illegal in federal court and decriminalized to a certain extent in state court.
