Cal State University Northridge sent an emergency alert to students and faculty after receiving reports of a gunman on campus. School officials received a report about 10:30 a.m., and the library was evacuated as school police began searching for the man.

The suspect is described as white, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short spikey hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt which read "human rights violation."

According to reports, someone approached the man, who appeared to be "in distress", and asked if he was OK. At that moment the man indicated he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen.

Police are still searching for the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact campus police.

Suspect Found in Fatal Shooting of 3-Year-Old Girl
Posted By Admin
Authorities arrested a suspect in the shooting of two 3 year old girls and a pregnant woman. The 19-year-old man fired shots at a crowded front porch on Monday allegedly out of revenge. One of the 3-year-old girls died, the other 3-year-old and her pregnant mother were injured. According to reports, an hour before the incident, a Good Samaritan saw the suspect beating up a woman and interfered, allowing the woman to escape.

"We're happy, of course. This individual can't hurt anybody else," said John Prendergast of Hesperia, the uncle of La-Donna Howie, the 21-year-old pregnant mother who was shot. "To shoot a little child, this guy has no conscience whatsoever."

According to Prendergast, the family was told by investigators that video surveillance from a security camera at a nearby store helped them identify the suspect. The video caught the suspect beating the other woman and the the Good Samaritan who saved her.

"They found the girlfriend first, and they were working on her to give information about the guy, but she didn't want to at first," Prendergast said. "I guess that changed."

Trial Opens for Hawthorne Pimp Who Faces Life If Convicted
Posted By Admin

Trial opens for Leroy Bragg, 35, a Hawthorne pimp, who is being charged with human trafficking of a minor, soliciting and pandering of a minor, burglary, kidnapping and vulgar acts on a child.

Bragg who calls himself "Snipe King" had his street name tattooed across the chest of a teenage runaway he allegedly forced to work for him. (King Snipe's Bitch).

The defense opposed stating that no evidence supports kidnapping and other charges.

He is accused of forcing two runaway teenage girls to work for him as prostitutes in the streets and motels of Los Angeles and Orange County.

One of the girls, a then-14-year-old from Upland, was snatched off the streets of South Los Angeles by Bragg and taken to his apartment and after smoking and drinking, she ended up having sex with Bragg and started prostituting.

Bragg was arrested Sept. 28, 2010, after a foot chase through backyards near his Hawthorne apartment.

He was being held on $1.3 million bail.

As trial opens, the defense claims that there is no piece of evidence to support the girls' allegations.

As a "third-striker," he faces up to life in prison if convicted,

12 Year Old Killed in a Hit and Run
Posted By

Matthew Cory Hudson, 21, was arrested for allegedly struck and hit a 12 year  old boy skateboarding.

According to the investigation, Hudson was speeding down a residential street in his 2001 Chevy Camaro on the evening of Sunday September 4, 2011 when he struck 12 year old Jonathan Olagues who was on his skateboard on his way home from a barbecue.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the collision, Hudson did not stop. The Rialto police spotted the Camaro and began a chase until they realized that it would be too dangerous to continue the case because Hudson was driving recklessly along a crowded street.
Back at the scene of the accident, the license plate of the Camaro was found. The next morning, Hudson went to the police station to report his Camaro stolen but due to inconsistencies in his statements, Hudson was put under arrest on suspicion of vehicular homicide in the hit and run of the 12 year old boy and gross negligence.

Vehicular manslaughter is a serious offense and can result in long term incarceration. If charged as a misdemeanor then you will be looking at up to 1 year in jail and if it is charged as a felony you could be facing an even longer term of up to ten years in a state prison.
