Mother and her boyfriend arrested on suspicion of murder of two year old son

A 2 year old boy was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital, after his mother claimed he slipped in the bath. According to a statement from the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, the child had several bruises and burns that were inconsistent with the mother's story.

Jennifer Zolozano,19, and her boyfriend, Joe Hickman, 21, were arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of murder.

When questioned by investigators, Zolozano and Hickman allegedly admitted to beating the child. They are being held Monday on $1 million bail each on suspicion of beating the woman's 2 year-old son to death, sheriff's officials said.
